Looking to the New School Year | MANE Things

Dear Maranatha Families,

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with a deep sense of hope and anticipation for all that God will continue to do in and through Maranatha Christian Academy. His calling on our school remains strong, and I firmly believe that our impact—as a community committed to Christ-centered education—will grow even deeper in the year ahead. The best is truly yet to come.

This year’s theme verse is Isaiah 40:31:“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (NIV)

When we reflect on Isaiah 40:28–31, we are reminded of the limitless strength and wisdom of our everlasting God. He never tires or grows weary—and He delights in renewing those who depend on Him. What a powerful promise: as we wait on the Lord, He lifts us above life’s challenges and sustains us through every season. This truth is both personal and communal.

As a Maranatha family, let us encourage one another to wait on Him—trusting in His strength, His timing, and His vision for our school.

I am grateful to partner with you in this journey and look forward to all the ways we will walk, run, and soar together this year.

If you missed last week's email, we have a brand new way for you to stay connected with your area of MCA.

Each week's "MANE Things" email will now have a "Division Level Announcements" section at the bottom that's tailored personally to your MCA experience.

These division-specific announcements are updated every week by your principal, so make sure to check them often!

Back to School

August 18 from 5–7 pm | New Student Open House for MS/HS

All new students and parents entering Grades 5–12 are invited to our Upper School New Student Open House on Monday, August 18 from 5–7 pm. Grade 5–12 Students new to Maranatha can meet their principals, walk their class schedule, and learn the layout of the building.

August 21, 5–7 pm | Back-to-School Night

General Assembly (5–5:30 pm): all grades and families in the Sanctuary for vision cast and important information
Open House (5:30–7:00 pm): meet teachers, drop off school supplies, submit health forms, and more!
- Grades 9–12 will be taking school pictures during this time! (reserve your spot here)

Note: PreK families can check their children into their classrooms starting at 4:30 pm to then attend the General Assembly. Pick-up students by 6:15 pm.
