As we reach the midway point of our mission statement series, we turn our attention to the fourth pillar: Explorers.
"We are an influential school of collaborators, innovators, and explorers grounded in Christian faith, empowering co-creators of tomorrow."
Exploration is fueled by curiosity. At Maranatha, we encourage our students to be "Explorers" of God’s world and ask big questions, try new ideas, and discover the unique gifts and interests the Lord has placed within them! Whether they’re exploring academic subjects, potential careers, or the depths of their own faith, we want our students to have a mindset that is ready to adapt and always be open to learning.
We are reminded of God’s own heart for discovery and renewal in Isaiah 43:19 when it says "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."
Just as God makes a way where there was none, we challenge our students to look at the "wilderness" of the unknown not with fear, but with the eyes of an explorer. By nurturing their curiosity today, we are preparing them for a future where they can confidently step into "new things" and find God’s provision in every territory they enter.
Thank you for all that you do in raising up strong men and women of God, and we are so honored to partner with you in nurturing these future leaders.
