Back-to-School Night

Back-to-School Night, on Monday, August 21, is an energy-packed event that welcomes every family into the building to start the school year. There is time to visit classrooms, see seating arrangements, locate your student's locker (Grades 4–12), meet the teachers, review your student's schedule, and hear from the Head of School, Ms. Deb Larson, as she shares our theme verse, vision, and more.

This year, for your convenience and to help manage crowds, the night has been divided into two sessions. Below is a breakdown of Back-to-School Night.

Session One | For Families with Students' Last Names Beginning with A–K

Prekindergarten | Session One Begins at 5:15 p.m.

• Drop student off at his or her classroom as early as 5:15 p.m.
• Anytime between 5:15–5:55 p.m., meet the teacher, visit information tables, etc.
• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.
• Pick up student from his or her classroom no later than 7:15 p.m.

Lower School | Kindergarten–Grade 4 | Session One Begins as early as 4:45 p.m.

• Anytime between 4:45–5:55 p.m., visit classrooms, meet the teachers, see seating arrangements, visit information tables, etc.
• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.

Upper School | Grade 5–Grade 12 | Session One Begins as early as 4:45 p.m.

• Anytime between 4:45–5:55 p.m., Grades 5–12 students are required to get their photos taken in the MCA gym*
• Anytime between 4:45–5:55 p.m., visit classrooms, meet advisor and teachers, get schedules, locate lockers, visit information tables, etc.
• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.

All-School General Assembly | Prekindergarten–Grade 12 | Begins promptly at 6 p.m.

• Parents and students will hear from the Head of School and her continued vision for the school, and from school administration regarding additional information for the 2023–2024 school year.

*To help minimize lines, Session One school photos for Grades 5–12 will open at 4:30 p.m.

Session Two | For Families with Students' Last Names Beginning with L–Z

All-School General Assembly | Prekindergarten–Grade 12 | Begins promptly at 6 p.m.

• Parents and students will hear from the Head of School and her continued vision for the school, as well as from school administration regarding additional information for the 2023–2024 school year.

Prekindergarten | Session Two Begins at 5:50 p.m.

• Drop student off at his or her classroom as early as 5:50 p.m.
• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.
• Anytime between 7–7:45 p.m., meet the teacher, visit information tables, etc.
• Pick up student from his or her classroom no later than 7:45 p.m.

Lower School | Kindergarten–Grade 4 | Session Two Begins at 6 p.m.

• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.
• Anytime between 7–8:15 p.m., visit classrooms, meet the teachers, see seating arrangements, visit information tables, etc.

Upper School | Grade 5–Grade 12 | Session Two Begins at 6 p.m.

• Attend the General Assembly from 6–7 p.m.
• Anytime between 7–8:15 p.m., all Grades 5–12 students will get their photos taken (in the MCA gym)
• Anytime between 7–8:15 p.m., visit classrooms, meet advisor and teachers, get schedules, locate lockers, visit information tables, etc.

Back-to-School Night for Session Two will conclude no later than 8:15 p.m.
